The jewel as a show!
“A pleated boiserie, like the fifth of a stage, becomes the limit between shop and workshop!”
A jewelry of great craftsmanship and innovation “divided” into two worlds: the laboratory and the shop. The need of visual and emotional connection between the two places, the conception-production and the representation-sales was the main instrument of the design.
A filter of pleated panelling, as scenes of a show, becomes the limit between the two spaces.
The “backstage” discovery, that can be glimpsed from the entrance and the shape of the triangular fold, becomes repetitive starting from the walls up to the basements of the showcase, guides and accompanies the visitor.
The colorless space, like an art gallery that enhances the exposed object, creates contrasts between light and shadow through the material reliefs.
